Dreaming Adventure Collection

The Dreaming Adventure Collection captures the essence of adventure, exploration, and walking by faith into the unknown. Products include backpacks, clothing items, and prints for children and adults. 

The Dreaming Adventure Collection began with the first design brief that I (Colleen) completed while taking the Leverage Your Art course with Stacy Bloomfield. The brief was meant to mimic a licensing collaboration with a children's clothing company and detailed a request for a pair of unisex children’s adventure pajamas. After prayer and reflection, I came up with a main illustration from which I extracted 4 themed illustrations and a handful of repeat patterns. Through the process of completing the assignment, I got many comments asking whether the pajamas were actually available for sale. Adults and children alike were interested in purchasing products with the design. It is then that I realized that my designs could become an entire line of products.

With hard work, perseverance, and unwavering belief in God’s providence, I was able to overcome technological obstacles and bring the Dreaming Adventure Collection to life. Seeing the product ideas come to fruition was a moment of pure joy and fulfillment. It was a testament to the power of prayer and the beauty of chasing after your dreams with unwavering dedication. So to all those who may be facing their own obstacles in pursuit of their dreams, I say this: hold onto your vision tightly, believe your prayers will be answered, and never lose sight of the magic that comes with daring to dream. The journey may be tough but we do not walk alone, and the destination is worth every step of the way.
